A significator in its own triplicity receives +3 points. Lilly compares this to a man moderately furnished with the goods and fortune of this world, and of good family; but it is not as strong as domicile or exaltation.
Day or night?
Important: the triplicity ruler changes according to day and night. Lilly's example: the Sun in Aries by night receives no triplicity dignity, because Jupiter rules the fire triplicity by night. Mars is the exception: it rules the water triplicity both by day and by night.
Sample question: Will I be short of money this month? If the planet signifying money is in its own triplicity: you get by and manage — a tight but sufficient picture.
