Translation of Light
Even when two significators make no aspect (a connecting angle between them) at all to one another, the question does not end there; a third planet stepping in between them may change the picture.
How it works
A faster planet has just separated from one significator and immediately moves toward, or applies to, the other. In this way it carries the light received from the first to the second and connects the two indirectly.
A route to perfection
Translation of light is an assisting testimony (a piece of evidence in the chart): even when there is no direct route, the matter may be brought about through an intermediary; it comes by way of a third person or an intervening event.
Who is the intermediary?
The planet carrying the light often signifies an intermediary: a mutual acquaintance, a friend who delivers the message, a real estate agent, or someone who brings the matter together.
Smoother with reception
When the translating planet receives both parties (that is, brings them to consent), the matter is joined cleanly. Without reception the intermediary takes their share, and the matter is delayed or awkward, yet the light may still be carried.
