Angularity and Speed
The house a significator stands in and the speed at which it moves determine its capacity to act.
Angular houses = the center of the stage
The angular houses (1, 4, 7, 10) are the strongest position. A significator here is prominent, effective and quick to act — right at the center of the matter.
Succedent and cadent
The succedent houses (2, 5, 8, 11) are of moderate strength. The cadent houses (3, 6, 9, 12) are the weakest: a significator here stays in the background, and the matter is diminished and delayed.
Speed
Fast or slow is judged against the significator's own average daily motion. A significator moving faster than its average is eager and willing, and carries the matter along quickly; one that is slowing down is heavy, reluctant and prone to delay.
Effect on timing
An angular house tends toward a near and rapid result, a cadent house toward a distant and slow one. If the significator is both angular and fast, the matter tends to move plainly and swiftly.
